Abhimanyu heard words, he absorbed them, he remembered them forever.
Abhimanyu heard them in-utero, within Subhadra’s womb.
Was Vyas bluffing in his narration of Mahabharata? How can a formative mass of cells retain memory?
VYAS was NOT bluffing – Vyas was (as many other Indian thinkers) just miles and miles ahead of his times.
Research has now discovered, acknowledged and put into practice the knowledge that VYAS already possessed 5000 years ago in Mahabharata.
Abhimanyu:
Son of Arjun and nephew of Krishn. This illustrious warrior lived a mere 16 years on Earth, but remains an icon of courage.
As per Mahabharata, he listened to Krishn (in some version, Arjun’s) description of Chakravyuh – a military formation as narrated to his mother Subhadra. However, as Subhadra dozed off halfway, he could only hear the secret to enter Chakravyuh, but not way out of it.
On day 13 of Kurukshetra war, Abhimanyu muscled his way into the dreaded Chakravyuh, but was entrapped within. He fought relentlessly, using every weapon he possessed – even using his chariot wheel to launch an attack. Ultimately, he faced a tragic end, being pulverised to death as he lay unconscious with fatigue.
Womb as Mother-child nexus
The womb is a protective shell, the placenta allows a mixture of mother and baby blood. The direct vibrations from diaphragm (it vibrates when mother speaks) amplify sound and relay it to fetus. Thus, words spoken by parents are heard by baby.
Garbh sanskaar or ‘womb training’ relates to this phenomenon, whereby the mother’s emotions, desires, knowledge and behavioral traits get relayed across to baby and affect the baby’s overall development.
What are positive benefits to baby?
1] LANGUAGE: Newborns can actually tell the difference between their mother’s NATIVE tongue and FOREIGN languages.
“The brains do not wait for birth to start absorbing information,” says study author Patricia K. Kuhl, PhD, University of Washington in Seattle. Her findings appear in the journal Acta Paediatrica.
2] Positive effects on fetal BRAIN DEVELOPMENT.
3] Reduces STRESS levels during pregnancy (Yes, even babies can have stress!)
4] Improves baby’s sleeping habits
5] Provides a wonderful BONDING opportunity in utero.
6] Music appreciation increases.
Indian doctors now recommend recitation of Bhagwad Gita, Gayatri Mantra and Classical music to all pregnant mothers.
All Indians should be mighty proud of Vyas’s amazing foresight.
Does your gynecologist/ pediatrician encourage conversations between a pregnant woman and her baby?
Do you believe Mythology is a Reality – a History?

Absolutely! Thoughts have a vibration that can transmit across barriers. Telepathy, which can exist between 2 people is a proof of that. Sometimes a mother can understand her child’s emotions before they are uttered. A long time couple can intuitively tune in to each others’s thoughts. That must be telepathy and the power of thoughts.

I don’t much look for proof… I look for experience. If I lived one, I believe one, and don’t deny others experience, but don’t except one for myself unless I have experienced the same, like supernaturals. 🙂

Exactly! Experience is the best proof. I agree completely with you.
P.S- Ever had a supernatural experience?

I wish I had. I just see vivid dreams and sometimes the brain is what creates supernatural experience. I take dreams as just one example of it. I write them in story form.

Hmm, Dreams. Quite many theories exist around them.
I, too wish I would get hit by a supernatural experience. Would be interesting.

Does it make any difference whether mythology is fiction or history? I think the most important thing is its teaching.

Ah, yes. Agreed.
However, most people tend to take Mythology as absurd fantasy tales. They concentrate on knights, miracles and horses – rather than on teachings.
History, on the other hand, is unfortunately ‘made dreary’ by our school syllabus. So most students concentrate on ‘dates’ and ‘events’ rather than on teachings.
Thus, both History and Mythology are often lost-in-translation. The crux, the core is too often missed altogether!

In those days, the world was more advanced and sofisticated. Lot of educated people. Some people even think both Ramayana and Mahabharatha are fiction written by famous writers like Vyas hundreds of thousands of years ago. i have no opinion about it.
Have you heard about the alternative story about Ramayana known as Lankeshwaran?
Will discuss in email rather than taking lot of space here, if you want to Sweety.
Did you check out my last post? Want your opinion as a doctor. Thanks a lot.

Our ancestors were extremely educated and scientifically advanced. There was surgery, metallurgy, mathematics, astrology, astronomy and pretty much every science taught.
Ramayana , I heard, has more than 21 versions.
Overall, I am more fascinated by Mahabharata than Ramayana.
Please take up as much space as you wish. I will gladly play hostess your ideas, thoughts and viewpoints.

Not only Indians but the entire humanity should be happy to see how an Indian guy postulated the idea of DNA which carries all these information. Not in direct way he said, but the DNA and his idea are same

Vyas was speaking of the fetus being a viable, receptive and intelligent living being – that can absorb knowledge and vibes from its mother & its environment. Umm, about DNA, I didn’t understand your point well. If you could elaborate…

I thought you are doctor, so better explain me more about it, I am an engineer by the way, I studied in school, the DNA carries the information from parents,…I just a layman on this need to research on this more, may be I can write a post after sometime 🙂

Ah, yes, DNA does carry bits of info from parents to child. So Abhimanyu must definitely have got some of his warrior skills from Arjun.
Yet, Vyas was speaking more about fetus as an entity with soul, rather than a mere ball of cells.
Even as medicos, we used to treat an embryo as a mass of cells. But recent findings are confirming what Vyas said 5000 years ago. Which, in away, reaffirms that our ancestors were wizards and geniuses. Also that Mahabharata was history, not myth.

Now, we transfer data, I’m mechanical cum software engineer, using micro waves between two systems, wet use wifi data transfer between pc and mobile, of course vysa might have this invention,to register all the information in the embryo. Don’t you think so? We, Indians had all the science for humans, westerners who published them to the world. I believe this, I have so many amazing findings myself 🙂

Hmm, yes. Engineering has its share of miracles and ‘wow!’ moments too.
But I think Vyas was recording his observation, rather than inventing it solely for Abhimanyu. His canvas was too vast to cater only to little Abhimanyu.
But yes, Indian epics and Vedas hold a treasure of knowledge. Unfortunately, we treat them as comic books or warrior stories – and miss out of the essence of their knowledge.

The true engineers and doctors, I mean the ones who love the subjects, not for money but just love them, can squeeze our treasure and realise how damn our people were not to let the world know about it.

Do you NASA has Sanskrit scholars solely used for translating wisdom and science from our Vedas ? And here we are stamping all over our own culture.

Yep , I knew that. We are, specially the government does great things 🙂 so what can we do? How long would take to get my pattern? How long it takes for me to publish a book? How I was dismayed while approached a big actor/writer/speaker/poet to review my book (which yet to be published and I stopped writing in mother tongue), It’s all bulls*** people, not eased the process in our country, It’s all we ought to prove ourself ( sometimes we need to dry ourself to prove that we are talented), ….
It’s like we let them get the pattern for turmeric, neem products, aloe vera… This is also sort of thing they have atleast let them say to the world,
One more information I was amazed and when I asked our indian friends, I got to slap them litterally, In Bagavat Gita, Lord says, In the highest places on the earth he is the Himalayas, if that’s not by God, if we take it as written by human, How do they know that Himalayas, is the highest place on the earth? – I got the answer from them is, ” Science world copied this info from our vedas” – But my question is not to ask if they copied or not, how our guys found it millions years ago!..there are such things which amaze us …

Exactly! Inspite of getting independence, Indians still show total mental slavery to western world. We uphold the traditional yoga only after the West speaks of its virtues. Same applies to so many Indian aspects. Its like we are still seeking approval from foreigners b4 realizing the importance of our values, morals, diet, Vedas, scriptures, epics et al.
