Dear Blogger Long time no see. Hope this finds you in the pinkest of health.

I know 2 competitors are rarely friends, but I’m your ardent follower. I’m amazed at the creative population who populates your kingdom.  It is this rich variety of wordsmiths who drag me to your door time and again.

P.S: On getting feedback, let me clarify. This post is a loving complaint by WordPress users (xxx.wordpress.com) to Blogger users (yyy.BlogSpot.com), with regards to the tedious and lengthy procedure required to post a comment on BlogSpot.com type of blogs.

With all due respect to your multi-talented citizens, please allow me to state …

1. I am NOT a Robot. robot Isn’t there a simpler method to prove my flesh n blood existence? I mean, how do you know a robot cannot type the 3 numbers you flash at me for ‘Verification’?

2. I’m not a virus. Why do you live in such an impregnable virtual fortress? Continue reading →

Powerbloggers stay clear. This is strictly for newbies.

I discovered Reader a year into blogging on WordPress.

  • What is Reader?

Its that icon up there sandwitched between ‘blog name’ and ‘follow’ on your blog site.

Its the window that permits you to peer into your peers – I mean, fellow bloggers.

It lists

a] Latest posts by the Blogs you follow get updated here. You can either glimpse a preview or read entire post, depending on walls erected by that WordPress Blogger.

P.S- You can hit ‘like’ or ‘comment’ directly via Reader. Be warned – this indirect route however, does not add up to Continue reading →

Like or Comment? Blog World

blogging, fellow bloggers, like comment dislike icon response

Which response gives you a better inner glow? ‘LIKE’ or ‘COMMENT’?

An amazing idea strikes you out of nowhere. You ponder over it for 3 days. Brainstorm over its pros and cons.

Then you pen it down – OK,OK, you keypad it down.

You edit and re-edit.

Is it too argumentative? Too in-the-face? Too shocking?

Too lame? Too mediocre? Too blaaah?

Will my family cringe over it? Will my friends giggle over it? Will I be able to defend the main theme?

You do spellcheck, delete and re-word. You add the apt image after a thorough Google search.

Then you hit the ‘Publish’ icon.

Then you wait. And wait. And wait. And wait for your fellow bloggers response.

LIKES vs COMMENTS – which one gives you more satisfaction?

like   comment

Is ‘Like’ button a lazy way of saying, ’I follow your blog, but frankly, my dear, I don’t have enough time/ energy/ interest to comment over it”

Does your heart soar by seeing a response of ‘Like’ or ‘Comment’?

What if there was a ‘DISLIKE’ button as well in the blog world? Would you add it to your blog? dislike

Today, I’m going to give you three ways to instantly improve your writing and sell more books. I’m blessed to have a broad base of experience/expertise which includes corporate consulting and branding. I also spent years in sales and can honestly say, Coffee is for closers.

What Do You DO?

Last year, I accepted a leviathan project to redo copy for a website and rebrand a struggling company. I first explained my plan and reasoning in a detailed SWOT analysis. The owner was on board and signed off. The existing copy was outdated, bloated, confusing, and failed to appreciate the vast changes in our millennial culture.

I hacked through, reduced as much as possible and reshaped until the site showcased a truly fabulous company. To my horror, the owner came back and wanted me to add a deluge of changes which included mass amounts of extraneous…
